So far we have seen many Indian faces starring in an American or UK based shows and movies. The stars like Irrfan Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Dimple Kapadia, to name a few, have made it big in the west. Well, looks like there’s another one who recently added in the list is none other than Adil Hussain. The actor to has worked in the many English shows, however, he is better known for Life Of Pi and English Vinglish. Well, now Adil has become the latest Indian actor to join the Star Trek franchise.

It is said that he would be playing a pivotal role in the third season of Star Trek: Discovery. The first trailer of the series was premiered at New York Comic-Con on Saturday, October 5. According to reports, Star Trek: Discovery Season 3 will be premiere in 2020.

Well, knowing how an amazing actor Adil is as we have seen him in many films, we are sure he would be extraordinary in this series as well. Plus, Star Trek is a brand already, so starring in such shows is anyway quite an achievement. For now, we have to wait for 2020 since it is the premiere date.


Talking about the show, Star Trek: Discovery is an American web television series created by Bryan Fuller and Alex Kurtzman. This show is the seventh series in the Star Trek franchise.

Apart for Adil joining the star cast, the show also stars Sonequa Martin-Green stars as Michael Burnham, a female science specialist on the Discovery. Doug Jones, Shazad Latif, Anthony Rapp, Mary Wiseman, and Wilson Cruz are also in the series. Jason Isaacs featured in the first season, Anson Mount for the second, and David Ajala for the third season. The series was announced on November 2015 and was premiered on September 19, 2017.
